Obituary for Alberto Talavera Gamez-Fields Jr.

ALBERTO TALAVERA GAMEZ-FIELDS, JR
October 25,1984 to April 3, 2021
Father, Son, and Brother

Albert was born at North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills, Texas on October 25, 1984. He died in his sleep on Saturday, April 3, 2021 in the morning at his girlfriend's house in Joshua.

Albert loved his three children and spent as much time as he could playing and teaching them in the art of fishing, hiking, exploring in the woods, camping, cooking on the grill (burning bones as his father used to say when he cooked on the grill), how to be a good friend to others, and he loved singing from high school chorus to church choir, and singing with his children. He loved his brother (Danny) and spent time riding four wheelers, horses, and fishing. He spent a lot of his time working on diesel trucks and cars. When he was thirteen or so he told his aunt, when she asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”, he always answered with, “I’m going to be a mechanic!” He accomplished that plus much more.

Albert grew up sharing everything he could to help others that didn’t have what they needed. Albert was generous with his time, energy, and money. He often repaired others vehicles even if they did not have the money for parts or labor. Albert also enjoyed reading “Planetary Society” magazine. He loved the stars and the moon and was a Scorpio.

Albert knew no strangers. He was outgoing and made friends easily. His children have many stories to share about all the adventures he took them on and l they learned because of him.

Albert will be missed greatly. He is survived by his mother, Melanie Mae Fields Coats; his step-father, Charles Leon Coats; his brother and best friend, Daniel (Danny) Leon Coats, sister-in-law Ashley Ann Coats ; Albert’s father, Alberto Talavera Gamez, Sr. Albert leaves behind his three children, Ryan Douglas Gamez (16), Alyssa Marie Gamez (12) their mother, Nicolle Byrd-Dunn, and grandmother/grandfather Tammy and Douglas Byrd, and Mekkenna Mae Gamez (22 mths), her mother Lauren Michelle Pyle and grandmother Sherie Lee Bracken Rose. Albert is also survived by his two half-brothers Steven Zander Gamez and one other half-brother. He has numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who are too many to name.
