Barbara Eileen Brown Blankenship passed away on February 25, 2022 at the age of 62, after a
long and brave battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by family.
Barbara was born on September 12, 1959 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was the daughter of
Rev. Bill and Dorthy Brown, Sr. and youngest sibling to Sherilyn, Bill Jr. and Robert Brown.
In 1995, she moved to the DFW area. She was a stay at home mother to her four daughters
until 1998, when she started working for Lone Star Fire Sprinkler as their Office Manager for
almost 24 years. This was also where she met her soulmate Brandon. They were married on
June 25th, 2005 and spent 15 wonderful years together. She enjoyed spending time with family,
especially her 7 grandchildren, traveling, attending concerts and dancing with Brandon
wherever they were. She will be remembered for her very kind personality, corny jokes and her
love for Jesus and everyone she came in contact with.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Brandon Blankenship, her brother, Bill Brown
Jr., and her parents, Rev. Bill and Dorthy Brown, Sr.
She is survived by her sister, Sherilyn (Brown) Hall, brother, Robert Brown, children, Kristen and
Trae Pierce, Ashleigh and TJ Walker, Lea Richmond and Lauren Richmond, along with
grandchildren Conner, Brycen, Karissa, Lilian, Avery, Coen and Nora.
The graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 17th, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Moore’s Funeral
Home and Memorial Gardens, located at 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas, 76012.
The family would like to thank Texas Oncology and the staff at Wise Health Systems for their
gracious care.

Barbara's honor. She loved nothing more than helping others in any way she could.
