FORT WORTH - Cheryl Parsons Marx, 67, danced her way to heaven the morning of February 14, 2020.
Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2020, at Church Angels Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Cheryl would ask that you donate to your local animal shelter or to CuisineForHealing.org .
Cheryl was born in Dallas, Texas on November 3, 1952 to Robert S. Parsons and Dorothy Adell Parsons. The family made their homes back and forth between Kansas and Fort Worth through 1969 when they finally settled in Fort Worth.
Cheryl attended Bruce Shulkey Elementary and graduated from Southwest High School in 1970.
After graduation, Cheryl worked at a retail store in Denton where she met her daughter's (Meaghan Marx Pannell) father. During her marriage, Cheryl took pride in being a stay-at-home mom to Meaghan and stepson, Matthew Marx.
They moved to San Angelo where they stayed for 11 years and Cheryl became active in Junior League of San Angelo. After her divorce, Cheryl returned to Fort Worth and went to Ogle Beauty School.
In 1987, she became a licensed cosmetologist and worked at several salons before beginning her 21-year career with Armstrong McCall selling hair products. Cheryl loved sharing the latest products and visiting with her clients, who quickly became friends.
Dancing was one of Cheryl's main passions, so she was a member of the Fort Worth Push Club for many years. She also loved crafts and received the creative gene from her mother, mastering making her own greeting cards and building incredible scrapbooks.
Never one to throw anything out, Cheryl was a sucker for strays, providing a loving home to many dogs during her life.
Cheryl had one grandson, Kollin and they were best friends. She loved having him come stay for weekends and cheering him on during basketball games.
Cheryl is survived by her sister, Deborah Parsons Pratt; nephew, Robert Pratt; grandson, Kollin Ray Pannell Nettles; stepson, Matthew Marx; and dogs, Francis and Honey.
Thank you all for coming and for the kind words during this time.
