Obituary for David Walter Davis

David Walter Davis was born on July 15, 1942 in Dallas, Texas to David William “Dub” and Helen Elizabeth Davis. He joined the United States Marine Corp in 1962 and served as a rifleman with guerilla warfare training. He served in Granada. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal. David had one son with his first wife. He worked as an electrician for 42 years and retired as a Master Electrician. He was very proud that his son followed him in his trade and also became a Master Electrician. He coached his son’s soccer teams and worked as a soccer referee until 1988. David married Jane Stoker Pannell on January 21, 1989. He was proud to be a father, grandfather, and especially a great-grandfather. He joyfully celebrated his 80th birthday with his family on July 10th. He peacefully left this world on August 5, 2022. David was preceded in death by his parents and his second grandson Matthew Oran Davis. He is survived by his wife Jane Davis, his son and daughter-in-law David Wallis and Tina Louise Davis, his sisters Barbara Davis Cawthon and her husband Ron Cawthon and Donna Davis Hampton, sister-in-law Janis Trousdale, grandchildren David Wryan and Xiomara Davis, Alicia and Trey Poteet, Hannah and Jeremy Artzt, Daniel Davis, Dalton Davis and Kailey Stephens, and great-grandchildren Cole and Eli Poteet, Ezra Artzt, Everest Davis, Amaya Davis and Julian and Jiselle Depaz, numerous nieces and nephews and his loyal canine buddy Ty.
