Obituary

The Life Story of Francester Phillips Benford

In the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on the 17th day of October, 1952 God blessed Horace L. Phillips, Sr and Hattie L. Phillips, with a beautiful little girl (a third child) whom they named Francester Phillips. Fran was saved at an early age in Philadelphia in the church of The Garden of Prayer. Our parents moved from Philadelphia in 1969 as Fran completed her last year of High School at Dunbar High in Fort Worth Texas.

In 2002 a union was formed with Auderey Benford and Fran Phillips.

Fran was employed as Marketing Research Manager with Heakin Research for many years until her health declined. She spent her leisure time enjoying her 4 children and her 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

On the 8th day of March, 2020, Francester Benford, left this earthly life to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by both her parents, and her brother Horace L. Phillips, Jr who met her at the gates of Heaven.

Those who loved her and will cherish her memory forever are: her grandmother Curtis Akins and one uncle Riley Akins, her husband Auderey, children;Dante, Delano, Hattisha (Josh), and Darius, grandchildren; Terrick, D’Monte, Kelton, D.J., DanteJai, Ja’Nya, Kennedy, Mason, great grandchild; KJ, sisters; Linda, Chrissie and Nicole and her many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

I have never had the pleasure of knowing a nicer woman. We share a granddaughter Ja'Nya and even though our children have broken up her and her family still treated her like a member of the family. I will never forget when we were in the waiting room waiting for Ja'Nya Rose to be born. We laughed and cracked jokes for hours..I loved her because of how she loved my daughter and granddaughter n how she treated me,my mom and the other children. She always made us feel welcome and like family. The world has lost an amazing person but it comforts me to know she is in heaven free of pain or sickness having a good time with my mom,her siblings n parents watching out for us left on this pitiful Earth. I send love and condolences to her family forever......Sincerely Shannon D. Brown
