Obituary for James William Gaynor

Jim Gaynor of Ft. Worth, TX died Friday December 8th, 2023. Jim was born on January 10th, 1942 in Superior, WI, and was the son of William and Jenny Gaynor. He was preceded in death by his daughter Tina Gaynor, and brother Mike. Jim is survived by his wife, Kathleen, and their other two children, Mitzi and James. There are also three grandchildren that he deeply loved: Bobby, Simon, and Stacie. His brother Ron also still lives in Wisconsin.


Jim worked hard throughout his life. He served in the Army and learned the skills he would need to get him his career. His career started with what was originally called the “Great Northern Railway.” Jim worked for over 45 years through several mergers and positions until he retired from “Burlington Northern Santa Fe.” He worked very hard at his job, and made himself indispensable to them. He loved to learn and pushed himself to learn new things both at work and at home.


After a well earned retirement, he was very active in the lives of his grandkids and community.
