Obituary for Joann Chapman
MANSFIELD - Joann Chapman, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the care of Envoy Hospice Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019.
Celebration of Life Lunch: 1 p.m. Jan. 18, 2020 at Roma Trattoria (6204 S Cooper St, Arlington, TX 76001).
Joann was born Aug. 12, 1927, in North Miami, Oklahoma and raised in Joplin and Webb City, Missouri. She married Harold W. Chapman in 1947 in Joplin and they were married 47 years until his death in 1994. Joann lived in Oak Cliff, Grand Prairie and Mansfield. She played the keyboard and was also a talented artist who didn’t start painting until she was in her 40’s. She loved crossword puzzles and watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers on TV.
Joann was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry King; half-brother, Danny King; and grandson, Chad Chapman.
Survivors: Son, Michael Chapman and wife, Paula; grandson, Jason Chapman; and great-grandson, Gunner Chapman.
