Obituary for JUANITO LEIVA SR

Juanito Leiva Sr., at the age of 84, had crossed on over to the other side into the promise land to be with Jesus Christ on April 16, 2020.

Born on April 11, 1936, Lincoln, Tx., he grew up enjoying listening and learning to play what is called today as Tejano Music, Juanito was a pioneer specializing the accordion instrument making it play so uniquely, but not limited to recording his own music, creating bands, booking concerts, and traveling to experience that dream. He could gotten bigger, but yet chose to be a loving Father working as a wielder by trade in Chicago. He clocked in and out with the help of his wife and children. Though, Juanito was a man of many errors throughout his life he still desired to be around family and friends.

Juanito Sr. never mind to make his own repairs or work with own hands whether it be house work, car repairs, help move furniture. He loved to go fishing and teach others how to fish. He loved to write poems, and songwrite. He enjoyed doing mathematics, word puzzles, card games. Play games of pool for sport. A man always determined to do things right the first time.

Juanito Sr. demonstrated love to the best of his own ability. Proving that a man can change overtime. Never forgotten, but always missed.

Survivors: Loving wife of more than 59 years, Ramona Davila Flores Leiva of Arlington; children, Ida of Haslet; Belinda of Grand Prairie; Vincent of San Antonio; Juanito Jr., Tony, Martin of Arlington.
