Obituary for Judy Caperton (Johnson)

Judy Gail Marceaux Caperton, a resident of Dallas, Tx. born August 30,1949 in Crowley, La. to Emma and A.J. Marceaux. She left this earth , October 15, 2022 seven years after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
Raised in Gueydan, La. by her mother and step father, Don Johnson.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard Caperton, daughter Andie Hamilton, son in law Kevin Hamilton (Burleson, Tx), son Matthew Caperton, daughter in law Cricia Vargas Caperton (Uvita,Costa Rica). Grandson Sam Hamilton, Grandaughters Penelope Caperton and Eva Caperton. Brothers Paul Johnson, Jim Johnson, Skipper Johnson, sisters Donna Pedersen, Darlene Morey, Wendy Whitmire.
A graduate of Gueydan High School and Louisiana College, she and Richard met in college and married at 19.
A former resident of Pineville, La., Ft.Worth, Knoxville, Memphis, Wichita Falls, Tx., Wichita, Ks., Richardson, Tx., Atlanta, Ga. And Galveston, Tx.
Her outward beauty was an expression of her beautiful sweet internal spirit. Gifted with a marvelous soprano voice, she used to praise God and entertain family and friends.
This beauty queen was known for her skill in the kitchen where she would produce the Cajun meals that she had learned from her mother and grandmother in South Louisiana.
She was also was well known for her ability in interior decorating, which she had multiple opportunities to demonstrate, as she and Richard made many moves making it into an art form.
Her working career covered a wide array of jobs, from school teacher, dental assistant, receptionist, flight attendant to office manager. But the job she most cherished was homemaker, where she created an environment of love and acceptance to all who entered her home.
Her gracious spirit will not only be missed by her family but also whomever was fortunate to cross her path.
