Julianne Gavin from Fort Worth, Texas went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2020
Julianne was born on November 6, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas, but was raised in Milford, Connecticut. She received her Bachelor’s degree at Emerson College. Julianne lived throughout the country following her passions, like writing a play, being an editor for numerous magazines, and becoming a standup comedian. She then started her career at BNSF Railroad, transferring to Fort Worth, and working for them for over 20 years.
Julianne met the love of her life Mary Beneduce on April 1, 2000 at a Texas Women’s Festival. They were married on July 25, 2009 in Milford, Connecticut. Their favorite place became their cabin at Lake Mexia which they built in 2017.
Julianne had a passion for cooking and baking. She was always experimenting with new recipes, asking if they should be “put on the list” to cook again. She would make her famous Irish Soda Bread which happened to be one of her favorites. Other favorites were reading, writing, traveling, camping and dancing.
Julianne was preceded in death by her mother Ann Pervier, and father Michael Gavin. She is survived by her wife Mary Beneduce, Brother Marty Gavin and wife Susan, Sister Katie Lamb and husband Tom, and Brother Blaise Gavin. Julianne has many nieces and nephews who were like her children.
A Mass will be held Monday, August 17, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 2016 Willis Ln, Keller, TX 76248 at 11:00 AM. The Mass will also be live-streamed. You can find the link on https://seascc.org/. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society in Julianne’s name.
