Obituary for Justen Michael Currie

Justen Michael Currie, beloved Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend to many, passed
away on October 10, 2022, at the age of 43, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Justen was born October 4, 1979, in New Braunfels, Texas. He graduated with
honors from Paschal High School in 1998. Shortly after graduating, Justen enlisted
in the United States Army and served from 1998 to 2003 reaching the rank of
Sergeant. We are eternally grateful for his service which took him to multiple duty
stations, most notably Korea and finally Iraq in 2003, where his unit was among
the first tip of the spear to enter Baghdad. Upon the end of his army service,
Justen had jobs with Oncor and more recently Lockheed. Justen had a passion for
music and enjoyed playing his guitar. He loved playing pool and spending time
with his family and friends.

Justen had a great love for his family. He is survived by his mother, Felicia Coston
and husband Fred, father, Larry Currie and wife Ruth Bogart, sister Starla Burks
and husband Brian, brother Chase Currie and wife Tammy, brother Micah Coston,
brother Michael Mooney, brother Aaron Coston and wife Veronika, sister April
Martinez and husband Pete, Grandfather Bob Holmes and wife Clara, nephews Sebastian and Brody Broussard, nieces Carolyn, Lauren and Shannon Currie as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins,
A celebration of Justen’s life will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2022, 11:00am
at the Church Angels Funeral Home, 6301 Granbury Rd. Fort Worth, Texas.
Internment will be following the service at 3:00pm at the DFW National Cemetery
2000 Mountain Creek Parkway Dallas, Texas.
