Kevin was born in Altus, Oklahoma, to Lawrence Carlton McCoy and Sandra June McCoy Driesslein. The family moved to Somerset, Texas where Kevin attended grades 2-12 and graduated in the top 5 of his class. He had a remarkable combination of genius, modesty, self confidence and ease with people. He completed his Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and his Masters of Science in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington. Hook 'em Horns!

His 31 year career soared at General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin. Among his many achievements on the F-16 team was to help design the air intake valve for fighter jets that was used for many years. His F-16 experience was spanned over several projects including India, South Korea, Poland and Israel. His involvement with the F-22 Raptor program allowed him the opportunity to actually fly as a companion in the F-16 chase plane.

Kevin loved to travel the world and loved the game of golf. He was blessed to travel the world through his work assignments and on many golf adventures. His golf buddies were a very special brotherhood to him and they traveled extensively domestically and Internationally, Including the legendary St. Andrews Course on two different occasions. Cheers to The Central Bar in St. Andrews!

Kevin attended Compass Christian Church in Colleyville and at times he helped run the cameras for the online services.

Kevin and I grew up together. We shared many fun times together and have so many find memories. I will always remember him for his quick whit and the way eyes twinkled when he flashed that sometimes mischievous smile. When we were little, minibikes were all the rage and we spent our summer days riding in our neighborhood yard. Kevin graduated to a 100cc motorcycle. He was big time. He would always take me riding and during one of our outings in the yard we had a small accident, and i broke my ankle. True to form, when I came home with my cast, Kevin signed my cast "I did it!" We remained friends for all these years and he will be missed. Grateful for the memories of growing up in simpler times. RIP Kevin! God Bless

I'm sending condolences to Kevin's family and friends. I met Kevin when he took a part time job at CVS. Always had a kind word and a caring heart. He was a very polite man and a pleasure to meet. I would like or comment on his Facebook posts. Loved seeing his dinner creations, looked so delicious 🍽️ and plated perfectly. Rest in peace Kevin and may God and his angels surround your family and friends with love and comfort at this difficult time.

It is with a sad heart that I learned today of Kevin’s passing. He left Earth far too soon.
I knew of Kevin when I worked at Lockheed Martin, but we just started talking on FaceBook (FB) due to some “foodie interests.” I learned he was an adventuresome amateur chef who often posted on a FB cooking site named Fort Worth Foodies Home Chef.

He was a very kind person & I am so sorry for the loss. Earth has lost a kind soul & Heaven is now a better place. I pray he is at peace & either cooking or golfing up in Heaven.
Prayers for all his family & friends to gain peace through this difficult time.
In deepest sympathy,
Vicki Kygar
