Obituary for Kevin Durward McCoy

Kevin was born in Altus, Oklahoma, to Lawrence Carlton McCoy and Sandra June McCoy Driesslein. The family moved to Somerset, Texas where Kevin attended grades 2-12 and graduated in the top 5 of his class. He had a remarkable combination of genius, modesty, self confidence and ease with people. He completed his Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and his Masters of Science in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington. Hook 'em Horns!

His 31 year career soared at General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin. Among his many achievements on the F-16 team was to help design the air intake valve for fighter jets that was used for many years. His F-16 experience was spanned over several projects including India, South Korea, Poland and Israel. His involvement with the F-22 Raptor program allowed him the opportunity to actually fly as a companion in the F-16 chase plane.

Kevin loved to travel the world and loved the game of golf. He was blessed to travel the world through his work assignments and on many golf adventures. His golf buddies were a very special brotherhood to him and they traveled extensively domestically and Internationally, Including the legendary St. Andrews Course on two different occasions. Kevin attended Compass Christian Church in Colleyville and at times he helped run the cameras for the online services.

Kevin is proceeded in death by his parents L.C. McCoy, Sandra Driesslein and Bill Driesslein.
He is survived by his Step Mother Woodi McCoy, brothers David McCoy (Lili), Billy Driesslein (Janette), Rick Driesslein (Sandy) Sisters Diana Driesslein (Chester), Hilary McCoy George (John) several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. He is also survived by former spouse and friend Cindy Parchman McCoy Calzada, The Parchman family and former spouse and friend Susan McCoy and family.
