Obituary for LILLIAN MYRLE LOIKA
Lillian Myrle Loika, 97, passed away on February 6, 2023. She was cared for by her daughter and son-in-law, Joann and Jack, for the last 20 years of her life.
She was born on December 16, 1925 to Harry and Edith Daugherty in Clinton, OK. After graduating from Medford High in Medford, OR in 1942, she married John Loika, going on to have five children, Mary, Edith, John, Joann, and Thomas. They have 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
After John retired from the Army in 1979, they moved to Palm Springs, CA. They enjoyed traveling in their motor home to visit their friends, children, and grandchildren.
Lillian is fondly remembered for her skills crocheting and playing the harmonica. She was a warm and loving woman whose smile could always light up a room. In her later years, she enjoyed reading her bible and singing hymns.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband, John, her siblings: Faye, Lola, Harry, and Loveta, and her two sons: John and Thomas. She is survived by her daughters: Mary, Edith, and Joann, her grandchildren: Jerry, James, Stanley, John, Peter, George, Dawn, Jack IV, Brandon, Thomas, and Janel, and 13 great grandchildren.
