Obituary for Marie "Ann Marie" Nicholson

Monday, October 12, 2020 Marie Ann (Ann Marie) Brown Nicholson lost her battle with Cancer at her home in Watauga, Texas with her family by her side.
She was known to most of her friends and patients as Ann Marie. She was born in Memphis, TN, in June of 1963 to Lynn Boyce Brown (deceased) and Jean Christopher Selner. As the child of a military brat she moved a lot until settling in Fort Worth Texas where she attended Southwest High School. After finishing high school Marie moved to California and on to Las Vegas, NV where she married Kendall Nicholson in 1996. Marie is survived by her husband Kendall Scott Nicholson, two children Jordan Brown of North Richland Hills, TX and Ashley Nicholson of Watauga, TX, one grand-daughter Olivia Brown also of North Richland Hills, her mother Jean Christopher Selner of Laguna Woods, CA and her brother Charles Brown of Weatherford, TX. She was preceded in death by her father Lynn Brown and her grandparents. She leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews scattered across the United States as well as her beloved fur babies: Stewey, Willie, Coco and PeeWee.
After trying her hand at different occupations she found her niche in the field of nursing. She completed an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Community College of Southern Nevada in 2002; becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) after completing her nursing exam. In 2005 her family moved to Texas. She continued to work in the field of nursing, following her passion for taking care of others. She worked for various employers; but, settled in at Longmeadow Healthcare Center, in Justin, TX where she worked up until July of 2020.
She was active in NA and often attended meetings at the Step One Club in Fort Worth as well as the Broadway Group in Haltom City where her daughter received the ‘Infinity Chip’ posthumously for her on Monday, October 12th.

Church Angels Funeral Home, 6301 Granbury Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76133 on Saturday, October 24 from 12:30pm-1:30pm CST.
