Melvin L Worrell Sr. passed away February 2, 2023 at home peacefully. He was born in Erath County on January 7, 1925 to parents, Robert Lee and Eula Irene Worrell. He graduated in 1942 from Stephenville high school, went to the Navy, 1944 through 1946, went to work for Convair later known as General dynamics in 1947 till August 1962. Then went to Bell helicopter from 1962 until retirement in October of 1992. He was married in 1948 to Beatrice Aileen Moore and was married 67 years when she passed in 2015. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His CHILDREN ALWAYS CAME FIRST! He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eula Worrell, sister Eva Robinson, brothers Leroy Worrell and Garland (Runt) Worrell , wife, Beatrice Aileen Worrell, son (Micky) Melvin L. Worrell Jr. , and grandson Gerald R. Norton Jr. He is survived by two sons, Ricky Worrell and Greg Worrell three daughters Tonia K Pappajohn, Marian Putnel, and Celena Worrell, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
