Obituary for Stephen Smith

Stephen Boyce Smith was born on January 17, 1946 and passed away peacefully on February 7, 2023.
He was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth. He graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1964, then attended Texas Christian University where he graduated with a B.B.A. in Marketing in 1968. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and a member of the Steeplechase Club.
At age 23 he joined the Peace Corps and served in Panama for 3 years. Upon his return to the United States where he started his career at General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin working in the Procurement department until January 2011, when he retired.
Time with his family was important to him.
He loved walking and hiking, woodworking, sewing, watersports, music and the arts. When he was young, he was an avid bodybuilder. He traveled the world with his lovely wife of 42 years, Maria. They spent half of their time in the US and in Spain.
Survived by his, wife, Maria A. Smith, daughter, Antonia Smith-Acker and husband Stephen Acker, sister, Judy Smith Newsom and husband Noah Newsom and mother-in-law, Sensi Morillas de Fernandez and many extended family in the US and Spain.
Preceded in death by, his mother and father, Rolein and Edelle Smith, sister, Terry Dale Smith Standridge and husband, James Standridge and father-in-law, Roberto Fenandez and many extended family in the US and Spain.
