William Enoch Ratliff was born June 14, 1950 to Viola Ruth Brewer and Enoch Esco Ratliff in Odessa, TX. He was a younger brother to Daniel Glenn Ratliff. He grew up in Odessa where he played football at Odessa Permian. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, drawing and flying planes. He married Rita Jo Neal on December 31, 1971 and they went on to have 3 children. He attended Texas Tech University where he received a Bachelor’s of Accounting. He was a hardworking man who did whatever he needed to take care of his family. He would step in to help his family with anything they needed whether it was rocking and singing to the grandbabies, helping to decorate a classroom for the upcoming school year, putting together play houses or helping to remodel a first home. He was a father you could depend on to be there. He was often described as quiet and calm with a soothing presence. The Lord took him home on July 22, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents Viola and Enoch as well as his brother Dan. He is survived by his wife Rita, his three children Ryan, Courtney and Nicholas and his granddaughters Avalynn, Lillian, Aubrey and Gracie. He will be laid to rest at Aledo Brown Cemetery on Thursday July 28, 2022.
